    Your Must-Have Travel Essential!

    December 5, 2017 /

Between delayed flights, lost luggage, public tantrums and that one thing you forgot to pack, traveling with your family can get complicated, fast.  In fact, 23% of parents in the US say one of their main concerns when traveling is keeping their kids entertained. With the holidays just around the corner, parents can look to offline viewing on Netflix to keep everything, and everyone, under control while on the go. From the tried-and-true shows you can rely on like Beat Bugs and Luna Petunia to calm any meltdown, to discovering new show obsessions like PJ Masks, Netflix downloads are a must-have travel essential for parents and their kids. So when it’s time to go on a trip…

The Southern California Great Wolf Lodge Exceeds All Expectations!

    April 28, 2016 /

Our family had a chance to check out the recently opened Great Wolf Lodge Garden Grove last month and boy did it exceed our expectations!  The company who created this amazing Water Park really thought of just about everything a family might want to experience.  From the water slides, water park for little ones, to a 24 hour arcade and mini bowling alley – there really is something for everyone.  Here are some of our favorite activities and restaurants we enjoyed while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. Restaurant: I am not usually a fan of buffet-style restaurants because I don’t find the food to be very good but this…

    The Tooth Fairy

    May 4, 2014 /

Image courtesy of Flickr   The summer of 2010 was a busy summer for my youngest son Hayden. It was a summer filled with many firsts. He learned how to ride his two-wheel bike—without the training wheels. He learned how to swim in the deep end—without a life jacket. He learned how to blow a bubble (bubble gum). He learned how to whistle. He lost his first, and second, baby teeth. Considering how animated and energized Hayden was—and still is—most of the time, he is also a very relaxed, go-with-the-flow kind of child. That summer, while we were visiting with friends in Montreal, the kids were eating corn on…

Paris Is As Fun As You’d Think

    September 7, 2012 /

Ahhh Paris. One of my favorite destinations for so many reasons. If you haven’t been, everything you’ve heard is true; the landmarks are amazing, the food is wonderful, and the people are warm and friendly in a ‘New York Soup Kitchen’ sort of way. On our last trip we visited in the fall. Nothing is more enchanting than Paris in the Fall. To be truthful, I find Paris a delight any time of year, but Autumn is particularly wonderful because the tourist season is winding down and there’s a little more elbow room. Recently I gathered up the team and made a run for Europe. Paris was our initial destination…
