LuLaRoe, Unicorns and Being a Consultant
How familiar are you with LuLaRoe (LLR)? I know for the past several months I’ve either heard it in conversation, seen it on my newsfeed (Facebook), or commented to a friend or stranger on their outfit to find out that it’s what they’re wearing. I had no idea that LLR had been around much longer than the seven months I’ve been aware of it. It’s a huge brand and it’s expanding and the women and their children that wear LLR have nothing but wonderful comments and statements to say about the clothing. I’m going to introduce you to one of the consultants, Cheryl Brewer of LuLaRoe Decadence with Cheryl, and introduce…

Stuck On You :: Worlds Favorite Labeling and Gift Company
Can you believe it is almost summer? Time for summer camp and sleepovers at friends or grandma’s house. Recently, we were treated to a very cool overnight and sports bag from Stuck On You to try out. I really like this company’s products for several reasons. Their latest Penny Scallan Design lunchboxes are just perfect for school and camp because they are made with a material that makes it for easy clean-up. The inside material is insulated so it helps keep the food cool. And the sports bag is going to be perfect for sleepovers at her grandparents, soccer and any other occasion that calls for a duffle bag. There…

Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle 15-City Tour
Last year I attended the Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle business seminar in Los Angeles, California. Erin Condren had told me about the event about two months prior during our phone interview. She told me she had seen great success with her product sales after being featured on Good Morning America Tory Johnson’s program that features entrepreneurial moms and their products. She said Tory invited her to be one of the featured speakers and recommended that I attend the Los Angeles event. I don’t normally attend these type of events, but after doing some research about Tory Johnson and the Spark & Hustle seminars she created – I figured this just might be the push…

Business Bookkeeping for Your Home-Based Business (Part 1)
Business Bookkeeping for Your Home-Based Business (Part 1) Now that you have decided to start your own home-based business (I think you were crocheting blankets in our last example) you need to set up a few basic procedures to ensure that your recordkeeping is complete and accurate. You do not need an accounting degree to accomplish this. Keep Seperate Bank Accounts: My first piece of advice is to get a separate bank account for all business activity. This is vital. This is important even if your business is set up as a sole proprietorship; essentially YOU are the business. Many home-based business owners believe that since the money to…

Erin Condren’s Colorful World
Who knew staying organized could be so much fun? I came across Erin Condren’s company a few years back from one of the moms in my daughter’s class. She gave a birthday gift to my daughter that had the cutest personalized sticker label on the outside of the bag in all of these wonderful colors and polka dots. It was love at first site! I asked her where she purchased them and she introduced me to the colorful world of Erin Condren products. I had the chance to interview Ms. Condren about her journey of starting her company from the ground up. She explained that it started out as…
