Recipes :: Delicious Sunday Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast just might be my favorite meal of the day and we serve breakfast for dinner at least once a week at our house.  Going out to eat breakfast on Sundays was a big part of my childhood. There was a family-owned restaurant up the street from where we lived and we frequented their restaurant quite often. But my dad was famous for making his grits and sausages.  I love grits to this day and always order a side of them if they are served at the restaurant. With the holidays coming up, I want to try some new recipes since we tend to have friends and family over for brunch.  Below are some wonderful ideas to serve at your next party or as a treat for the family.  Enjoy!

German Oven Pancakes:

This yummy recipe comes from a chef whose husband is German  and says this recipe has been in his family for years.  I love how the kids can help you make the pancake version of the meal and watch it rise in the oven.  And a big heaping of yummy fruit makes this a healthy meal to serve.  To read how to make this recipe go to Steamy Kitchen.com.

Sausage Waffles:

I love how this blogger takes sausage and puts them in a yummy waffle mix.  The mix of sweet and salty is always tasty.  And you can make extra sausage links to add to the side of the meal to be enjoyed.  Read more at Make and Takes.com.
