‘Tis the Season for Holiday Movies!

One of my favorite holiday shows is Charlie Brown Christmas and I am planning on watching it for the millionth time this month with my little girl.  There is just something about Charlie Brown and his crew that put a smile on my face!  Being part of the Netflix Stream Team, they send me monthly updates on what shows they are streaming for the month.  Plus they offer some fun crafts and recipes to share with you all!  See what they have planned for the month of December and sit back on the sofa, light up the fire, grab a cup of hot cocoa (don’t forget the whipped cream) and enjoy these family shows with your crew!  Happy Holidays lovely dandelion moms!

For the Kids (and the kid at-heart):

I have not seen I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown, so really look forward to seeing this one.  We have the DreamWorks Holiday Classics DVD and we all love all of these stories – they are very well done so make sure to put this one on your watch-list.

For the Whole Family:

I love watching Polar Express – especially the dance/song routine about the joys of hot chocolate!  Tom Hanks does a wonderful job at creating a magical world in Polar Express.  And I think my daughter is old enough now to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas so excited to see this movie this season.

Chocolate Candy Cane Smoothie:

Ditch the chips and instead enjoy a delicious and healthy on-the-go treat: a Chocolate Candy Cane Smoothie. The recipe is inspired by a holiday favorite — peppermint hot chocolate.

Even better? Though it might taste almost dessert-like, it’s actually a protein-packed snack that will keep the kids full and energized…without the sugar rush. Click here to learn how to make your own.

Enjoy!

Note:  As part of the Netflix Stream Team were are provided a free subscription to Netflix and other goodies, but this does not affect my opinion on any way.  I have found their easy to follow streaming of movies quite helpful in finding movies that my daughter and the family can watch together!
