What’s Hot in Southern California :: Rancho Bernardo Inn
A few weeks back I had the chance to stay at the lovely Rancho Bernardo Resort Inn in San Diego for a night. I must say it is one of my favorite new places to stay! The resort is really laid-back yet has all the amenities you need – like a wonderful spa, amazing golf course, beautiful fountains throughout, outdoor fireplaces, and the food is quite good.
After spending some time laying by the pool I came back to my room to find a plate filled with chocolate chip cookies and milk. Talk about great service. I felt so spoiled eating my cookie and drinking my milk but oh, so happy!
The Rancho Bernardo Inn is hidden away in the hills of San Diego, in fact, you drive through some nice neighborhoods to find it at the end of a windy road. It has the feeling of a quaint get-away but yet has all the amenities you would find at a new property. This 50-year old resort has so much character and the grounds are just so gorgeous. In 2013 The Conde Nast Traveler chose it as a Top SoCal Resort and Top Golf Resort. Make sure to stop by all the beautiful fountains found throughout the property. They even have information at the front about where each fountain was purchased and what they symbolize.
I think this place is a great spot to go for a weekend away with your girlfriends or husband. But they also have a ton of things to do for families! So next time you are looking for a nice resort with good service and beautiful scenery – definitely check out the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego. It is just up the street from the San Diego Safari Park and other San Diego travel destinations.
