Cookies and Milk:

This is super easy to do and looks so pretty and festive!  If you are short on time and no time to bake cookies – your local grocery store has plenty to choose from! The chocolate chip cookies from our local Albertson’s are amazing! Idea found on Free Samples.

Sprinkles Make Any Party More Fun!

Love this idea!  And what kid (or adult) doesn’t love sprinkles?  You just need some melted chocolate and dip in some yummy sprinkles and voila – you have a festive toast to bring in the new year. Found on the adorable site Love Bugs and Postcards.

Goodie Bags:

Great idea from Hoosier Homemade.  You can download the clocks on her website!  And just pick up some inexpensive gifts at the grocery store to put into the bags.  At this point – the kids will just like opening up the bag at the designated times.  The gifts are side note – in fact you might even have some little things laying around from previous birthday parties (think bottles of bubbles and party favor leftovers).

Countdown!

Love this idea from Craftibilities.  In each balloon is a fun activity for the kids to do – like bake cupcakes (I’d start this one early on in the evening – at least with my kid she loves her some sugar!) and even a fun tie-dye shirt activity.  But you can make the activities as simple as you like.

Décor:

If you still have your tree up, just put some festive balloons on it.  And check out the blog Bombshell Bling for some really great craft ideas, recipes and other fun things for the kids to do to help celebrate the New Year!

Party Tray:

My daughter and I went around the house to pick out things for our party tray!  Use what you might already have in your house (or garage) to make a festive tray for tonight’s activities.  We had some streamers from a past birthday party and Netflix sent us some King Julien hats and goodies to help bring in the new year with him. He is hosting his own countdown that you can find on Netflix tonight!  Check to see if you have some extra balloons and streamers laying around – you just might find you don’t need to buy anything else!

And if you have a little time – make some silly photo op moustaches and lips!  Just Google Free pintable’s and glue them on some paper straws!  You are set!

Have fun everyone!
