The Book App Alliance is a Great Resource for Parents

About two years ago I was approached by a group of authors who wanted to form a new organization that would help parents and teachers find quality storybook apps in the App Store.   I was game to get on board since I know how tough it is for parents to sift through the thousands of apps available and I wanted to be a part of an organization that supports indie authors!  The Book App Alliance was created by leading authors who create interactive books for kids.  We have found that many parents and teachers are confused about digital books (eBook vs. book app), how to use them, and how to go about finding hidden gems in the App Store.

The Book App Alliance strives to be the leading community of innovative book app authors who work together to share resources that will help bring awareness of high-quality book apps to parents and educators.  It can be a tough world out there for indie authors and developers and the BAA group helps showcase great apps and the authors who created the storybook app.

The Book App Alliance was created to:

  1. Educate consumers on what book apps are and how they can be used to entertain and educate.
  2. Showcase top-quality book apps that are buried within the 40,000+ book apps in the App Store.
  3. Create a community of leading and innovative book app authors and help them work together to bring awareness of their work. (Source: Book App Alliance website).
