Movie Review :: All Creatures Big and Small

This past weekend my family and I attended a screening of the new animated movie All Creatures Big & Small which recently debuted on Google Play and in select theaters. Based on the Noah’s Ark story, all the creatures of the world gather to board the great Ark before the flood arrives. This fun and imaginative story includes a few made-up creatures like the Nestrians. As the flood arrives two young animals are left behind and are forced to learn to work together to overcome the challenges of survival. They find friendship and learn a few things about themselves along the way. My kids laughed at the humor and enjoyed the characters. They’ve even downloaded it from Google Play and watched it at home several times since the screening.

The event was held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles which is the ideal venue for a story about Noah’s Ark. Inside the Skirball Center there’s a replica-turned play area of the ark. Measuring 65 feet long and 15 feet high, you’ll find lots of nooks and crannies to explore, animals to load onto the ark, rope ladders, bridges, and so much more. My kiddos loved exploring and imagining inside the ark. I was delighted to see my seven year old turn on his imagination as he worked with other children to prepare soup and transfer food from the first floor to the second.

Once inside the Noah’s Ark exhibit, you may be surprised with a puppet show, craft activity, or other interactive adventure. The Skirball Center also welcomes school and group visits. We had such a fun adventure. Don’t miss out on your chance to see the movie All Creatures Big & Small. It is available to download free on Google Play for a limited time only!

Note: We were invited to prescreen the movie All Creatures Big and Small at The Skirball Center but this does not affect our opinion in any way.
