Rogue One: A Star Wars Story out in Theaters December 16th!
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
I had a chance to check out Rogue One at Walt Disney Studios this week and absolutely loved it! Star War fans will not be disappointed! From the characters, storytelling, old-school vibe, you will immediately be drawn into the story and be transported into their world. Isn’t that what good movie-making does? Transports us into another time and place!
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The story is by John Knoll and Gary Whitta, and the screenplay is by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy.
A few weeks back I interviewed Felicity Jones for her role in A Monster Calls (love this movie) and she spoke about how she likes to mix things up by taking roles in movies like Star Wars and A Monster Calls. They could not be further apart in style and story – but it just shows what an amazing actress Ms. Jones is because she carries both movies so well! She is as adorable in person and was quite down-to-earth!
