Winter Fest 2016 :: A Magical Event at the OC Fair December 16 – January 1st.

Winter is indeed coming! That special time of the year when you cuddle up by the fireplace, sip hot chocolate, build loving memories with your families during the holidays, and build a snowman has finally arrived. Okay, maybe not so much the building a snowman part. For most of us Southern California natives, we know that there aren’t many places where we can actually get a true winter experience without taking a road trip up to the mountains.

Our family loves to ski and last year enjoyed skiing at Mountain High over the winter break.  Though we have no room to complain about our weather (it’s hot most of the year) here in Southern California, I have to admit I do get pangs of jealousy when I see folks around the country celebrating a White Christmas.  It was so much fun watching my daughter ski down the slopes and make a snowman together!  Luckily, we have Winter Fest–a magical event at the OC Fair & Event Center that provides SoCal’s ultimate winter experience for everyone!

Starting December 16th through January 1st, 2017 you don’t want to miss out on some winter fun with the family!  We are looking forward to the nightly fireworks show and of course my daughter plans on tubing down Snowflake Summit.  With unlimited ice tubing down a 130-foot, 6 lane ice slide, I think I know where my daughter will want to spend most of her time! There is so much to see and do at WinterFest I truly can’t wait to experience it at the OC Fair! I love that they have a petting zoo and definately plan on checking out the critters.  I wonder if Rudolph will make an appearance.
