Grilled Shrimp with Garlic and Herbs
We have been enjoying quite a few shrimp recipes this summer! Seafood just sounds better during the hot summer months doesn’t it? And shrimp is pretty affordable – especially if you buy it frozen! We (my husband) attempted this new recipe on the grill and it is both in our top 2 favorite shrimp recipes we’ve tried out so far. There is a ton of flavor and super easy to make! We grilled some artichokes as well. First steam them and make sure they are soft enough to eat. The grilling with some spices and a little olive oil just adds some nice flavor. We also grilled some corn. Good tip before grilling corn is to soak them in water for about 10 minutes. Wrap them in tinfoil and then grill those babies up! The added water helps to steam them from the inside out. Yum!
Ingredients
2 lb. extra large shrimp, peeled deveined
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp fresh garlic, sliced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning or Italian Seasoning
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp basil
1 tsp brown sugar
Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a large Ziploc bag and marinate for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Prepare grill to high heat and grill for 5-6 minutes turning to char all sides. We put them on a bamboo skewer to make grilling easier.
We made some Jasmine Rice, artichokes and some corn. Super simple dinner but had a ton of flavor. Enjoy!
