DreamWorks Trollhunters Season 2 premieres 12/15 on Netflix

Happy Trollhunting (and Holiday) Season!

This year sure has gone by quickly but don’t fret… because DreamWorks Trollhunters Part 2 from Guillermo Del Toro premieres on Friday, December 15th on Netflix!  Once again, ordinary teen-turned-Trollhunter Jim Lake Jr. faces new challenges in his continued battle to protect his hometown of Arcadia and the enchanted Troll world he inherited.  Jim’s risky decision to enter the Darklands unearths startling discoveries, forcing him and his friends to face gripping consequences as they race to end the battle against evil.

DREAMWORKS TROLLHUNTERS PART 2 Premiers on Friday December 15th!

Last week I was invited to DreamWorks Studios for a preview of Season 2 Trollhunters.  I am quite amazed at the quality of this show – from the storytelling to animation, I feel like each show is movie quality!  We had access to the writers, animators and talents behind DreamWorks Trollhunters and it was just so cool to see how much love and attention to detail everyone puts into this show!  You get a real sense of pride that this award-winning show has such the following.

If you haven’t watched the first season of Trollhunters (which went on to win six Emmys) be sure to watch it with the entire family!  There are 26 episodes and you’ll be in awe of the character development as well as animation.

In Trollhunters Season 2: Tales of Arcadia (13 episodes), Jim will face new challenges to protect his hometown and the Troll world and the never-ending battle against evil. Jim and his friends face the consequences of Jim’s risky decision to enter the Darklands and in so doing they each have a chance to develop more as characters and to define their roles on the team. As Rodrigo Blass put it, “you will witness their character evolution from cliche stereotypes to fully realized characters that are heroes in their own right.” He adds that he always saw Trollhunters Season 2 as “the season of Claire.” The creators spoke about how Claire will have more of a presence in Season 2 and they hope she becomes even more of a positive role model for young girls and boys.

Trollhunters Season 2 answers questions from the first series and creates new intrique for the coming third season of Trollhunters: Wizards.
