Valentine’s Day : Decor Tips, Recipes and Crafts!

Can you believe February is almost here?  Do you like to get the house decorated for Valentine’s Day or do some baking with the kids?  Here are some of our favorite recipes, decor tips and easy craft ideas.  And if you are looking to do a Galentine’s Day party with your best gal pals, be sure to check out our blog post here.

Make a Cake:

This is so cute and easy to do!  You just need a square and round pan. The recipe can be found on Craftsy and they provide a couple different ideas for decorating this pretty cake.

Decorate some pretzels:

I love this treat because you can change up the color frosting and sprinkles to fit just about any type of event.  From a 4th of July party to Valentine’s Day, you can have a great time with the kids making these for your next party. Recipe found on Craft River.

Healthy Bites:

Strawberries and Valentine’s Day just go hand in hand don’t they?!  I’m always a sucker for chocolate dipped strawberries! This recipe plus 20 more can be found on Blupla.

So sweet:

Make your life easy and buy the sugar cookie dough that’s already made at the grocery store.  Just saying!  If you are short on time, the kids won’t mind – mine will probably just be sneaking the frosting anyways. Found on Blupla.

Lots of reds, pinks and whites:

When decorating your home, you can do something simple like this cute 3-tiered tray sitting on your kitchen counter.  Image found on Pinterest.

Lots of Love:

This is such a cute idea from Little Peanut Mag.  She just used red paper napkins in this chicken wire frame she built.  If you have something like this already in your home – perfect!  If not, be sure to check her tutorial in the link above.

Hearts and more hearts:

Love this idea from Inner Child Fun!  So cute and so simple.

DIY Gifts:

Found on Pinterest posted by World In Pictures.

And more hearts:

I would use the thicker paper found at your local crafts store so they hold up over time.  Found on Pinterest from  Megs Made It.
