Family Time :: Enjoying the 2014 Olympics Together
The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games started this past week and Netflix put together a list of fun things to do while watching the games together. From making your own medals to baking some yummy (and nutritious) cupcakes – enjoy watching Team USA go for gold and teach your children about inspiration, teamwork and competition. Netflix has put together a list of 15 movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix that help encourage conversations about inspiration and teamwork. And for moms, dads and older teens, be sure to watch The Fabulous Ice Age, a new documentary available only on Netflix that tells the never-before-told history of everyone’s favorite Olympic event, figure skating. And be sure to take a look at the craft project and snack idea.

For the Youngsters:
My daughter has grown up watching all of these shows and really connected with the Super Why crew but we enjoyed watching all of them! Here is a list of shows that help teach toddlers and preschoolers about inspiration and teamwork.
1. Super WHY!: The Tortoise and the Hare
2. Curious George: George Gets a Trophy
3. Bob the Builder: The Bobblesberg Winter Games
4. Angelina Ballerina: In the Wings
5. Caillou: Caillou Gets Active
For the Whole Family:
Here is a list of shows that you can stream on Netflix that will teach kids about the importance of teamwork. I am excited to watch all of these – especially Winning Favor and Air Bud World Pup as my daughter is all about basketball and dogs these days!
