The Importance of Celebrating National Reading Month

    March 25, 2015 /

Start a routine that inspires them for life: This month is National Reading Month and schools and parents across the country are getting involved in promoting a love of reading in children.  I love reading to my daughter and continue to do so even though she can read early chapter books.  It is more than reading to her, we enjoy this downtime and pick out books to read together. Young children who read 20 minutes per day scored above the 90th percentile on standardized reading tests.* Take the challenge to read to your child each day, and create a love of reading to last a lifetime. Celebrating Our Disney Side with Mickey Mouse!

    March 20, 2015 /

Note: I received free products in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration.  The opinions expressed here are my own.   When I received the email that we were selected to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration Party it was like I was eight years old again!  There is just something about all things Disney that brings out the big kid in me!  We had originally planned to have the party mid-February but had to postpone due to that wonderful neck injury I had last month (post coming up on how I cut the healing time in half!).  But we couldn’t have asked for better weather yesterday and…
