Dwell :: DIY Decor Ideas for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is going to be here before you know it! It seems like every year my daughter and I have so much fun decorating for Halloween and Christmas that Thanksgiving doesn’t get its due course. It is such a wonderful holiday because it is all about being with friends and family, eating to your hearts content and giving thanks for all that you have in your life. I spent too much time this morning checking out all the wonderful ideas on Pinterest (funny how that happens) and found some really great ideas that you can incorporate into your Thanksgiving holiday. Saving Money this Holiday Season
You have probably seen your local retailers starting to put up holiday decorations already. It seems like every year they put them up earlier and earlier in the season! What to do with all that Halloween Candy?
Wow! That was a ton of fun last night! I volunteer at my daughter’s school every Thursday in the morning and it just so happened it fell on Halloween this year. I loved to see all the kids dressed up and they were so excited they could barely sit still in their seats! Last night, we couldn’t find the plastic Halloween pumpkin my daughter usually uses to go trick-or-treating, so my husband grabbed a pillowcase. You know, what we used as kids! She thought it was cool to do the “old school” way! But what to do with all that candy? Here are some ideas on what to do with the candy that could help others in need (including…

Fun Ways to Help Your Kids Develop Heart-Healthy Habits
Healthy habits need to be developed early on in a child’s life—the sooner, the better. As parents, we know this, but that doesn’t always make it easier to get our kids to eat vegetables at dinnertime or to turn off the Xbox and go outside. Here are a few strategies you can use to help your kids develop heart-healthy habits that will hopefully stick with them as they grow. Make meals important Eating dinners as a family will help show your child how important it is to eat healthy, and will give you time to come together intentionally and regularly.
