Instagram of the Day :: Blueberry Pie Makes My Heart Sing
Tis the Season for Baking! Oh yes, I LOVE Blueberry pie to no end. That first bite with just a hint of yummy whipped cream really does make my heart sing! This past week I was craving a good homemade blueberry pie so I got all the necessary ingredients (did you know a big bag of blueberries is $9.99? – crazy!) at the store and set about making oatmeal raisin cookies for my husband (his favorite), added some Ghirardelli chocolate chips in some of the batch (for my daughter) and while those were in the oven making the whole house smell wonderful, I searched Google for my favorite blueberry pie recipe. …

Latest & Greatest :: Daniel Tiger’s Day & Night
We love how adorable Daniel Tiger is and the lessons he teaches on his show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood! On yesterdays episode, Daniel Tiger celebrated Neighbor Day and demonstrated how important it is to be kind to others. We joined in on the fun and made some cookies and brought over flowers for our neighbors. My daughter loved doorbell ditching and leaving the treats at their doorsteps! But I knew she was learning an important life lesson from Daniel Tiger (and mom) about treating others the way we would want to be treated! In Daniel Tiger’s Day and Night app, we are able to interact with Daniel Tiger and learn more…

That is why I am so excited to tell you about PBS Kids Daniel Tiger episode that airs tomorrow, Labor Day, that teaches children about kindness towards their neighbors. Culture :: Lunches From Around the World
Lunches From Around the World Kids around the world are preparing to go back to school—that means homework, new friends and … lunch? Yes, that’s right! Let’s visit different countries and see what yummy food the school kids eat every day! France- French children enjoy a 3 or 4-course meal that is made from high-quality ingredients, and is mostly made from scratch. The children all sit in the same eating area, the cafeteria. An interesting fact is that there are no vending machines in schools, because they’re banned due to the high sugar and fat content of the treats they carry. Typical school lunches here can have a…

How to Treat Poison Oak or Poison Ivy
Handling Poison Ivy and Poison Oak on Small Children When your baby is old enough to start playing outside, you’ll probably be excited to take her to the park or even out to the woods. For the most part, this is great exposure to a new learning environment. As a first time mom, you’re probably quite cautious as it is. Even being cautious though, your child will eventually encounter poison ivy or poison oak. For the most part, poison ivy and poison oak are simple to treat. But you need to keep certain things in mind as you provide treatment. Most of the time, your child will be…
