The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa is Fun for the Whole Family!
At the end of April I attended the Mom 2.0 Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. I stayed at the Hyatt Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch and absolutely fell in love with all the unique sites and fun activities they offer families. I plan to come back with my family as I know my daughter would go crazy for their large waterslide! After driving a good 5 hours it was nice to be welcomed so warmly by the staff at The Hyatt Scottsdale. Walking into the front lobby was quite breathtaking as it overlooked the courtyard and you could see the gorgeous desert mountains. There are over 493 rooms at the…

Gardening :: Growing Baby Succulents
Succulents just might be my all-time favorite plant! Some reasons include the fact that they don’t need a lot of attention or water. In fact, they tend to do better if you just leave them alone! Now that is an easy plant to have around. But I can’t help but admire when a new flower comes out of a succulent I’ve had for awhile that I didn’t even know flowered! That is always a nice surprise. Which brings me to something I want to share with you lovely dandelion moms and dads – you can grow a baby succulent – without any soil! I found this out…

DIY Antique Photo Shelf
Today’s post is sponsored by MyPrintly from HP Inc. and Mom Select You might have heard about HP’s new site, My Printly.com which offers an exciting array of DIY projects, ideas and tools. Many moms have been visiting the site for crafts and printing solutions, from party décor to suggestions for turning your photos into cherished keepsakes. I was asked to participate and create a fun DIY craft using the HP’s new line of paper that can be personalized for any occasions. They offer personalized paper with rounded edges (great for special occasions), regular square edges and my new favorite, the Polaroid-inspired sheets. I decided to create an easy DIY…

The Seat Belt Safety Campaign Aims to Keep our Tweens Safe
Last week I was driving with my daughter and I happened to look over at the car next to me while waiting at a stoplight. I was so shocked to see a child no more than 6 years old moving around in the back seat, obviously not buckled in. It took moment for me to register this. I looked to the driver with shock on my face. I was ready to say something (not sure what) but then the light changed and I lost my chance. It really isn’t my business, I know, but when it comes to seeing a child potentially in a dangerous situation, mama bear comes out…

Tackling Mt. Laundry with the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Detergent
Tackling Mt. Laundry with the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Detergent! My little one loves to play! Whether it be skateboarding, surfing or playing on the basketball court at school – she goes full-throttle 110% of the time. I often dream of bottling up some of that energy and sprinkling it on me when I need it (which is most of the time) but I love that she has no regard for what she is wearing or how dirty she might be getting. I can still remember the day I came to pick her up at preschool on a day that I had mistakenly put her in white pants. What a shock (not really) to…
