Relationships :: Let’s Talk Love.
Image courtesy of Flickr This is a good week to talk about being in love. Romance is only one of several aspects of intimacy. If the loss of romance has become a primary focus in a relationship, it is likely decoying you away from what is actually present. Meaning, focusing in a narrow way on what is missing is a sure-fire way to not only condemn your connection, but to also kill whatever has replaced the romance. Love encompasses so very much, just not all at once. Romance may soften and give way to a reliability, a companionship that deepens intimacy through the little details. If one partner is…

Play :: Show Your Disney Side!
“I received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.” There is just something about walking through the gates at Disneyland that makes me feel like I am 7 years old again! It has been so wonderful sharing Disneyland with my daughter and we have had season passes since she was old enough to walk. Last year my husband…

I was speaking to one of the trainers about our puppy, Max, that we had adopted from the German Shepherd Rescue Group of Orange County. The rescue group is run by a great group of volunteers that have helped saved thousands of dogs through the years and was the first group we went to when our sweet Duke passed away last year. Max’s mom was found in a field alongside a Ford car dealership along with her 4 week old puppies. Luckily, she was…

Come Celebrate Penelope’s 3rd Birthday with Us!
It seems like yesterday when I received the email from Lynette Mattke of PicPocket Books and said that they were interested in my children’s picture book, Penelope the Purple Pirate, and would like to make it into an app available on their platform. I was so excited because my dream of creating a children’s picture book and storybook app was finally coming true! You can read more about my journey of becoming a children’s picture book writer in a post I wrote for Moms With Apps. It has been three years since the storybook app became available as an iPad, iPhone and iPod app in iTunes and we wanted to have a little celebration. But at this…
