Crafts :: DIY Decorative Halloween Pumpkins
Spiders, skeletons, spooky ghosts and pumpkins! That is what October is all about. I always try to do something fun with our pumpkins and this year I have decided to make them less scary and more decorative. I may even decide to keep them around until Thanksgiving, with minor adjustments of course. Seasonal crafts can turn out to be pretty expensive but with a good eye you can make some that are more affordable. What I like and look for are flowers and ribbons, pieces of fabric in colors I love. And of course, I love to glitter too. You will need: Fake craft pumpkins I bought mine at Michael’s…

Create an Art Journal
I love how coloring is bringing so much joy to people. From children to grown ups. Everyone has the potential to be creative. To color is a stress reliever. You pick colors that make you happy and without thinking you just add color with markers or pencils or even paint to a picture that you like. Fun right? In my world I am always coloring and drawing. I cannot imagine a day without artmaking, a day without color. This is how I unwind and de-stress. I often end my day with drawing, coloring and painting in my art journal. Have fun with this page! Use any materials you like,…

Crafts :: PomPom Fish
There is something really fun about making pompoms. I love to play with the yarn and make different color combinations in different sizes. They are so very cute to decorate a present with or to make a garland. I have even made colorful mobiles. You can leave them as is, or you can give them fins and eyes and turn them into fish. You will need: Yarn card stock scissors felt glue gun googly eyes at the end of the post is the ‘donut’ shape and the fins template to print out Cut 2 ‘donuts’ out of card stock.
