    April 26, 2017 /

“Hay” there, equestrian enthusiasts, animation aficionados and adventure addicts,  May is almost here, which means it’s time to “saddle up” for the premiere of DreamWorks Animation’s newest original series Spirit Riding Free, available exclusively on Netflix on Friday, May 5.  The series, inspired by the Oscar®-nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, follows the heartfelt journey of a gutsy 12-year-old girl named Lucky who befriends a wild mustang whom she aptly names Spirit. With her two best friends (and their horses) by her side, Lucky and her friends explore a world filled with endless rides, magnificent horses and and never ending fun! Together they’ll push their own limits, harness the…

Bill Nye Saves the World Premieres on Netflix April 21st!

    April 17, 2017 /

Bill Nye Saves the World is an upcoming American talk show hosted by Bill Nye and will premiere on Netflix April 21st.  The series will focus on science, and will investigate its relationship with politics, pop culture and society. The first season will explore topics such as climate change, alternative medicine, video games, and sex from a scientific point of view, whilst also refuting myths and anti-scientific claims.     I had a chance to check out a couple of the episodes at the Netflix Headquarters in Los Angeles at their Bill Nye Saves the World screening party.  It was super interesting for me to see what the Netflix building…

Family :: Tips for Making TV Night Extra Special

    March 1, 2017 /

Sneaking in a snack after 9 pm. “Helping” your kids with their school projects. Googling answers on family game night. We’ve all cheated. In fact, 46% of viewers are cheating right now—with their favorite Netflix shows. And it’s not just parents who are culprits of the crime, cheaters come in all sizes, so even the littlest ones can’t be trusted. I’ve been known to possibly sneak a bite (or two) of cake or chocolate when the kid isn’t looking (and I am sure she’s done the same!).  And when it comes to watching certain shows such as Stranger Things I wait until she is in bed.  Sometimes its nice to…

Season 4 of DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge premieres exclusively on Netflix February 17

    February 14, 2017 /

The fate of Hiccup and the Dragon Riders is left in the hands of the mysterious Mala and the Defenders of the Wing, as they work to prove their innocence and create an unlikely alliance. With his elaborate and sinister plans beginning to take shape, Viggo will stop at nothing to get the Riders out of his way, including putting a pricey bounty on Hiccup’s head. The battle against the Dragon Hunters rages on when Season 4 of DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge premieres exclusively on Netflix February 17.  I have a bit of an affinity for Toothless the dragon because our new kitten, Gizmo (a true…
