Tips for Spending Quality Time with the Family
We like to enjoy a family night-in about once a week. Usually it falls on a Friday or Saturday night and it’s a great time for us to spend time together, whether we are playing board games, cards (my daughter is extremely lucky… ) or watching a movie together, I do treasure these moments as I anticipate it might get harder to have my soon-to-be teenager to want to “hang with the parents.” I think though that teens, especially teens, still need this family time to reconnect and stay grounded during these rather whirlwind years.
One of our new favorite movies, A Wrinkle in Time, will appeal to just about every family. A Wrinkle in Time follows Meg Murry and her little brother Charles Wallace as they brave a thrilling journey to find their scientist father, Mr. Murry after he disappeared discovering a new planet. Check out my review of the movie here and read what Storm Reid and Deric McCabe have to say about working with Oprah, Reese and Mindy!
Out now on Blu-ray June 5th and on Digital (May 29th) , A Wrinkle in Time shares the importance of creativity, imagination, and innovation.
Since my daughter was little, she has enjoyed science projects. I can’t tell you how many science project kits we (actually, grandma and grandpa) have purchased over the years (thanks guys!) for Kate. Whether it putting together “secret formulas” for The ODD SQUAD, or creating slime together with the neighborhood kids in my kitchen (yikes!), she likes to be active! Are your kids the same? Check below for some fun science projects you can do with the kids!
