Health :: Tracking Your Success
Dandelion Moms has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #RewardHealthyChoices #CollectiveBias The first wealth is health. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Taking care of our health is so important and concerns all aspects of our lives. I know as moms we tend to put aside our needs but I am here to say that can be a unfortunate avenue to take – and this comes from my own experiences. Years back, I was talking with a friend and we started talking about one of my favorite quotes “Nothing is more important than your health.” We had a long discussion about how we tend to take…

Dwell :: Update Your Bathroom in 5 Easy Steps
I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of REACH® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own. Every morning I sit in my favorite chair and drink a cup of coffee while looking at Instagram. This chair means a lot to me as it comes from my parents home in Colorado. When my mom moved out here to California this was one of the pieces she shipped out for me. Every time I look at my favorite Home Décor Instagramers I get so inspired to update our home and make it as colorful and bright as I can. These ladies and gents are so talented! They have given me some great ideas for decorating our house. …

Support World Lion Day on August 10th
I Dreamed of Africa: One of my longtime dreams is to take a safari in Africa. There is something so magical about seeing wild animals on the plains in Africa. Some of the animals I am most excited to experience (from a covered Jeep of course) are the magnificent lions. This past week we have heard a lot of Cecil the Lion and it saddens me so that people would want to kill these gorgeous beasts. They are meant to live out their lives protected and not hunted down by people getting their kicks off of having a stuffed lion on their den wall. Support the National Geographic’s Big Cat Initiative: Unfortunately, big cats…

Shaun the Sheep Review, Craft Ideas and Giveaway
Lately my daughter has been very interested in making stop-motion videos. She has been using her Minecraft characters to make these short clips using the LEGO Video App. I’ll have to post one of her video’s! She loves to show off her work to us and I think it is great that she is being creative. When we heard that the stop-motion animated television series Shaun the Sheep was coming out with a movie we couldn’t wait to go see it! The British series features Shaun and is a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise. After school on Friday we headed to our favorite local theater and watched it. …

DIY Housewarming Gift Ideas
There must be something in the air because I have five friends who have moved homes in the past few months! As anyone knows who has moved this can be really stressful, especially when kids are involved. I know when we moved out of our apartment over 13 years ago I could not believe how much stuff we had in that was somehow jammed into every corner of our 1,000 sq. foot place! There is something quite freeing about decluttering as you pack don’t you think – it is like a fresh start! Since I know how stressful moving day and move-in month can be I wanted to make…

Project Kindness :: Bailey Believes – Donate Life
It never ceases to amaze me what an act of kindness can do for another human being. Whether it is a small act such as treating the stranger behind you to a cup of coffee at your local coffee shop to something literally life-saving like the story I am sharing with you today. This is a story of hope, sacrifice, and friendship between two families coping with Cystinosis, a rare, genetic metabolic condition that affects every cell in the body. Jessica DeDio’s son Bailey has Cystinosis. Bailey’s kidneys were failing and the family was using social media as a way to alert friends about Bailey’s urgent need for a transplant, specifically through…
