Instagram of the Day :: The Importance of Lifelines
Lately, I have been thinking about how to balance my work life (which is mostly done online) with my home life. My daughter “gets” that daddy goes to work and doesn’t see him until he gets home at night but seems to get more upset if mom is working at home while she is here. I do my best to try to balance my work and my time with her and some days work out better than others. Supporting Veterans Day
Tomorrow most of the country will have the day off because of Veterans Day. Last night at dinner, my father-in-law who is a Vietnam Veteran, told me that Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was created and officially announced a National Holiday on November 11th because at the end of World World I ended on November 11, 1918 on the 11th hour. In legislation that was passed in 1938, November 11 was “dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be hereafter celebrated and known as ‘Armistice Day.'” As such, this new legal holiday honored World War I veterans. We are excited to attend Knott’s Merry Farm next month and see all the wonderful holiday events they have planned!
