Exploring the Outdoors with Your Kids

Raising Happy and Healthy Kids:

What is the best way to keep our kids happy and healthy? Take them outside. Now do not get me wrong, this is not going to be some post about how our kids should never play video games (my daughter loves Minecraft) but we should not live in a society where it is considered a punishment for your kid if you take away the electronic devices and make them go outside to play.

Keep it Simple:

A lot of times as parents we overthink things. What kind of craft should we do? What kind of game should we play? I need to set up a play date. But speaking from experience, some of the best times my daughter and I have had were just walking out the door and seeing which way the wind blows. Our biggest decision was whether or not we should go to the left or the right.

Let Their Imagination Rule the Day!

Open up your child’s imagination by letting them make the decision. You never know what you are going to find on your adventures. One minute you can be climbing Tinkerbells tree or fighting zombies in the swamp. Your playground is only limited by your imagination. So take your kid outside, you my just find that it is as beneficial to you as it is to them.
